Transition into civilized living
We took everything out of the living room to install the carpet. These pictures of the bare floor make them seem shinier than they actually are.

The walls in the living room are all painted and the carpet is installed. It is really starting to feel like we are living like normal people rather than poor college students.
You might think that Christine is sitting there pretending to watch TV, but actually she is just concentrating on drinking her chocolate milk.

Here, we have added the TV unit which matches our bookshelves from IKEA. Now we are trapped into using pretty much all IKEA stuff. We will probably get the "Lack" coffee tables for $16 so that everything matches. You can also see Christine using the SoniCare tooth brush.

Maroon Madness
After a break for xmas and new years, we have started up our efforts to work on the living room. Christine has worked to exhaustion to move along the painting progress. You can see in these pics how much she has done. This paint is tough in that it requires at least three coats to really make it solid.
